The IYC-KAL Bundle contains all the 20 patterns from the previous 5 Icelandic Yarn Clubs. The designs are mostly accessories and many are relatively quick projects, perfect for gifting and using yarn left overs. You will find patterns for 4 hats, 3 cowls, 3 mittens, 4 shawls, 4 socks and 2 softy toys.
KNIT ALONG: the IYC-KAL bundle is available for sale at this exceptional price only for the duration of the massive KNIT-A-LONG that accompanies it. The IYC-KAL Knit along runs for 3 months until the end of January 2025 with plenty of prizes to win in the form of special Icelandic wool kits. You don´t have to buy the bundle to enter the Knit along and can also buy single patterns PDF. The ICY-KAL bundle of 20 patterns, however, represents a reduction of almost 80% compared to if you would purchase each pattern separately.

Exceptionally this year, there is no Icelandic Yarn Club but, instead, a massive KNIT-ALONG, with the publication of all the 20 designs (11 were still unpublished as single patterns) from the past 5 Clubs and weekly prizes to win in the form of special Icelandic wool kits, similar to the previous Clubs kits.
WHAT
The IYC-KAL (Icelandic yarn Club Knit Along) is a general knit along exclusively for the patterns previously published in the Icelandic Yarn Clubs 1 to 5 (from 2019 to 2023). Each Icelandic Yarn Club contained 4 pecial Icelandic yarn kits with a pattern, that were exclusive to the Clubs for a certain amount of time. In total 20 patterns that have now been published as single patterns (see the list here).
The 20 eligible patterns consist in
- mostly accessories: 4 hats, 3 cowls, 3 mittens, 4 shawls, 4 socks, 2 softy toys
- relatively quick to knit and full of fun techniques to learn
- thus, perfect for gifting (yes I´m thinking about the upcoming Xmas season for those who are celebrating it!)
- and are he perfect occasion to use your left over yarns in Aran weight, lace, fingering and DK.
Note that you don´t have to buy the ICY-KAL bundle of 20 patterns to participate. You can buy the patterns as single PDF or you you may already owned one or more or have purchased a Yarn Club. The ICY-KAL bundle of 20 patterns, however, represents a reduction of almost 80% compared to if you had purchased each pattern separately.
WHEN
The IYC-KAL (Icelandic yarn Club Knit Along) is hosted from November 7th 2024 to January 31st 2025.

The KAL is hosted in my Ravelry group where you can head for all of the details, including how to be entered to win one of the prizes! Please come introduce yourself, tell us what patterns you are interested in knitting, and feel free to post pictures of the yarn you are considering, projects in progress or finished.

PRIZES
Weekly prizes will be randomly drawn every Tuesday from November 12th 2024 to January 28th 2025 (a total 13 prizes). The prizes will be mostly special Icelandic yarn kits, similar to the kits from the previous Yarn Clubs.
On December 24th 2024 and January 28th, we will have SUPER PRIZES: a full Icelandic yarn Club 5 (containing 4 kits plus a little something from Iceland and the story behind the special yarns)
HOW TO BE ENTERED TO WIN THE PRIZES
Whoever posts pictures of their projects (such as yarn used, work in progress, finished projects) in the IYC-KAL THREAD on Ravelry is to be entered to win one of the weekly prizes. There is no need to sign up.
For an extra chance to win prizes, you can also share pictures on Instagram and Facebook using the hashtag #IYCKAL and making sure to tag me as well @helenemagnusson
Patterns: Once you’ve made your paiement, you will receive an email with a link to download a zip file containing all the patterns PDF. We don’t send patterns by snailmail.
