Tours Booking & Cancellation Policy

Payment

A deposit of 30% of the price shown is paid upon booking, as a confirmation of your participation to the tour. Then 60% of the price should be paid no later than 75 days (2 and a half months) before departure and the last 10% left should be paid no later than 5 days before departure.

Failure to pay in the delays imparted will result in the participant being dismissed from the tour. The deposit will not be refunded and cancellation charges will apply as below.

Cancellation

In the event you would need to cancel or report your tour after you have confirmed your participation, please les us know as soon as possible by letter or email of the cancellation. In conformity with business practices within the Icelandic travel industry, we will apply cancellation charges as follows:

  • 15% of the tour price is non-refundable. This percentage reflects our cost of booking and preparing your trip.
  • 50% of tour price is refunded if cancelled 30-59 days prior to departure.
  • 25% of tour price is refunded if cancelled 16-29 days prior to departure.
  • 5% of tour price is refunded if cancelled 15 days prior to departure.

Insurance

When traveling the world, an insurance from your home country is always a good idea. We advise that you have an insurance that includes rescue in case an accident that requires medical attention would occur and/or a travel insurance that covers your cost should you have to cancel you trip with short notice.

 

Validity of price

All prices are set up in Icelandic crowns and a currency converter allows to show prices in Euros and US dollars. In the event of currency fluctuation, government taxes, or due to any other cost increases that are outside our control, we reserves the right to change prices already quoted or published in our price lists without notice.

Liability

With your safety in mind, we reserve the right to alter routes, itineraries, departure time due to weather or road conditions or any other cause beyond our control.

We do not assume responsibility for any loss, damage, accident, injury, sickness, change of schedule or other services, due to weather, strike, negligence, natural disasters, war or any other cause beyond our control.

Participants take full responsibility for meeting the physical condition required for the tour. For your own safety and the one of the other participants, we reserve the right to refuse participation in activities during the tour to any customer who we believe will not be able to complete the said activities because of their physical condition, illness or injury. Would you nevertheless decide to participate in said activities, that would be at your own risks and we decline any responsibility.

Participants take full responsibility for bringing and wearing appropriate footwear and suitable clothing. A list of equipment to bring in available for each tour. For your own safety and the one of the other participants, we reserve the right to refuse participation in activities during the tour to any participant who are dressed inappropriately for said activities. Would you nevertheless decide to participate in said activities, that would be at your own risks and we decline any responsibility.

Horse riding tour extra liability

If you are bringing some riding clothing and boots with you, you must make sure that it is disinfected when coming in Iceland: see here for full information.

The participants understand that anyone riding on or coming near a horse can suffer bodily and other injuries. Horses are unpredictable by nature and potentially dangerous. When frightened by real or perceived danger or when under stress, they can jump forward or sideways, run, buck, bite, kick or rear without warning. We recommend wearing a riding helmet which can significantly reduce the risks of head injury. We reserve the right to reject any rider for reasons of riding inability or behavior endangering the safety or welfare of the riders or horses. No refund will be made to any rider who is rejected for any such reason, nor can refund be made to any rider who is unable to complete a ride or the tour.

Other

Any complaint must reach within 7 days from departure from Iceland. Passed this delay, no possible compensation will be possible.
