DESIGNER: HELENE MAGNUSSON
Hryggir is yoke lace sweater knitted from the topdown with a lace yoke. It was designed for Laine magazine Issue 06. You start knitting the lacy yoke with 1 Gilitrutt and block it before dividing for body and sleeves. They are knitted first with 1 Gilitrutt and 1 Love Story together, then 1 Gilitrutt and 2 Love Story together and finally 2 Gilitrutt together, while gradually changing needle size and shifting colors. This gives the sweater its A-line shape and drop sleeves, without any increases needed. The sweater is cropped at the front and longer at the back, but it’s very easy to lengthen it: just knit more rounds!
