This week-end was a storm in Iceland, with the wind blowing at 38m/seconde. This didn’t stop the Icelandic knitters in the Magical Icelandic night tour
! We knitted monster mittens with three thumbs, braved the wind, had pancakes and rested in an Old turf farm, pet some sheep, bought a healthy dose of Icelandic wool, almost fly away and saw Northern lights (although not the brightest and I didn’t capture them on picture). In Reykjavik, we visited the village Museum of Arbaer and the Craft and Design show as planned but we also couldn’t miss the opportunity to go to the Nordic House and listen to the two Norwegian guys Arne et Carlos
who happened to be making a presentation of their Christmas balls book that same day!
A few pictures of that adventurous week-end but don’t be fooled by the quiet apparence: the wind never went under 20m/s (70 km/h) and the temperature was around 0°C (freezing).
