Snúsnú [pronounced snoo-snoo] is a little shawl that will naturally curl around your neck and stay perfectly in place. It´s a quick knit, worked back and forth from the nape of the neck. The fun border of dropped stitches make it much bigger than expected from such a little amount of yarn.
Snúsnú starts with a garter tab cast on, creating a continuous strip of garter stitch along the top edge of the shawl. Stitches are increased both on right and wrong sides, giving the shawl its twirling shape. A couple of tassels on both ends adds playfulness. Snúsnú refers to twirling (snúast) in Icelandic and is a cute word for a jump rope, which could translate as “twirltwirl”.
