Melrós KIT

Melrós KIT, little shawl designed by Guðrún Hannele with Love Story yarn. Used double, the yarn shows a subtle grading by mixing together different colors.

This Melrós, a little shawl was designed by Guðrún Hannele with Love Story yarn in mind. Used double, the very fine yarn shows a subtle grading by mixing together different colors. It reminds of the Old shawls except that the colors chosen are very refreshing compared to the natural browns and greys that were often used. Hannele is the owner of Storkurinn, one of the nicest yarn shop in Reykjavík, where of course, she stocks Love Story and Gilitrutt!

The Melrós KIT, shawl is knitted from the top down with Love Story yarn held double with different colors. It is shaped with increases on each side at the borders (kfb) both on right and wrong sides, as well as in the middle on right side only (yo on both sides of the center sts). Markers are important to follow instructions.

Yarn: Love Story from Hélène Magnússon, pure new wool, 100% Icelandic lambswool, fine lace weight, 1 ply, 25 g skein =225 m / 246 yds
4 colors: Natural grey, Askja blue, Anis green, Natural white, 1 skein each
