Small girls in large jumpers are just about the cutest sights I’ve ever seen. When my older girl was young there was a period of some years when she refused to wear anything but dresses and large jumpers. This spencer is perfect for just those young girls who prefer wearing tights and large jumpers to anything else. It is reminiscent of a sweatshirt with a pocket and cut-off sleeves.

The pictured spencer is made using colour 1004. Sizes 1 (3) 5 (7) years (100) 150 (200) 200 g.
NEEDLES:
3 mm (US 3) circular needle.
Set of 3 mm (US 3) double pointed needles. Cable needle.
TENSION, stocking stitch: 10 cm = 22 sts
10 cm = 29 rows
SIZES:
Half bust width: 28 (32) 36 (40) cm
Body length to underarms: 32 (38) 46 (54) cm
Sleeve length to underarms: 4 (5) 6 (7) cm
METHOD:
• Spencer is worked in stocking stitch.
• The pattern features a border at the sides of the body.
• The Sleeves and body are joined on one circular needle at the armholes and the yoke is worked in the round.
• The pocket is worked flat separately and fastened to the front of the body.
