KBG03 is a descendant of the traditional woolen sweater that has kept Icelanders warm though the ages.

YARN:
KBG 03A SINGLE COLOR CARDIGAN: 550 g Einrúm L qualities.
KBG 3B STRIPED CARDIGAN: 450 g L+4 2006 Pýrit
50 g L+2 2001 Silfurberg
50 g L+2 2003 Ágít
50 g L+2 2004 Stilbít
50 g L+2 2005 Barít

NEEDLES size M:

Body: 4.5 mm (US 7) and 5.5 mm (US 9) circular needles. Sleeves: Set of double ended 4.5 mm (US 7) needles and a short 5.5 mm (US 9) circular needle.

Pocket: Set of double ended 3 mm (US 3) needles

GAUGE, reference for medium size: 10 cm = 17 (18) 19 sts
10 cm = 20 (21) 22 rnds

MEASUREMENTS medium sized cardigan (reference): Note that the garment has a lot of give and fits both small and large.
Half bust width: 40 (41) 42 cm Body length to top edge of collar: 105 (110) 115 cm Body length to underarms: 52 (55) 58 cm Sleeve length to underarms: 52 (54) 56 cm

METHOD:
• The body is worked flat and the button band is worked simultaneously on smaller needles.
• The sleeves are worked in the round. Sleeves and body are joined on one circular needle at the armholes and the yoke is worked flat with raglan shaping.
• A zipper is sewn onto the button band from the cast on edge and the entire length of the sweater including the hood, so that the hood can be closed completely.
