Einrúm E by Kristin Brynja: lopi + silk

From  11,53

EINRÚM E by Kristin Brynja is a design improving Icelandic wool by mixing it with thai silk. Twinned together, the result is an incredibly soft and airy yarn, as light as the unspun Icelandic yarns and as strong as the silk.

EINRÚM E is Einband by Ístex (light fingering, 70 % Icelandic wool) twinned together with 2 threads (E+2) or 4 threads (E+4) of Thai silk. When twinned, the Einband opens up and the result feels pretty much like the unspun plötulopi but very strong. Used with bigger needles, Einrúm E will make for an extremely light, airy garment, yet hardwearing.

Einrúm E+2 (80% wool, 20% pure Thai silk),  50 g ball = approx. 208 m / 227 yds, needles 3-4 mm/US 2,5-6
Einrúm E+4 (60% wool, 40% pure Thai silk),  50 g ball = approx. 179 m / 196 yds, needles 3-4 mm/US 2,5 – 6
