Nordic Sock Box: my Holtasóley socks
I´m delighted to let you know that I´m the fourth designer of Nordic Sock Box, a delightful curated subscription box delivered every two months by Finish yarn company @novitaknits
Each box contains:
- An exclusive sock pattern created by Nordic designers
- Printed instructions in English, Swedish and Finnish
- The yarns needed for the pattern
- A knitting-related surprise product
The unboxing video is absolutely charming!
For my socks, I was inspired by Holtasóley, or Eighpetal mountain-avens, Iceland´s national flower. In summer time, it´s litterally everywhere in the mountains!
The Novita 7 Veljestä (7 Brothers) sock yarn is pure wool (no added plastic, aka nylon) and was a dream to knit with. The stitches are so regular! I used the colorway 330 artichoke, 391 spruce forest, 010 off white and 268 sunflower.
The Holtasóley box is not available anymore but the single pattern will be available in 6 months, in March 2025: I´ll let you know!
