Skotthúfa

This hand-knitted tasselled cap, designed by Ingibjörg Guðjónsdóttir, is inspired by the original woolen skotthúfa, used by the male students at Hólar school in the 17th century and the later knitted female version. The cap is exceptionally warm and offers great wind protection. It is hand-knitted from Icelandic wool and felted to enhance wind resistance. Decorated with a modern sleeve (tube) handmade with stainless steel, it is suitable for both men, women and children.

Yarn used: Álafoss Lopi
