Skargfirskir rósavettlingar, traditional embroidered mittens from Skagafjörður in North Icelandic are becoming rare. This book is a compilation of beautiful embroidered mittens and retraces the history of the Icelandic families in Skagafjörður who were known for making this particular type of mittens, together with beautiful color pictures. The book also contains drawings for all the embroidered motifs and instructions for a pair of mittens on which the motifs can be embroidered using the Old Icelandic cross stitch.
