Maja Light Hat

Inspired by the Maja Light sweater, I made a matching hat using the left-over yarns from the cardigan and pullover.
Of course, you can use any left-over DK yarns! The hat is knitted in the round from the bottom up and the crown is shaped with decreases. It comes in 4 sizes.
Yarn used: any DK such as Fjallalopi, Katla, Gilitrutt used double

Sizes: 4 sizes XS(S,M,L) to fit head circumference of 46-51(51-56, 53-59, 56-61) cm / 18-20 (20-22, 21-23, 22-24)”. You can adjust the length by adding/withdrawing rnds in the rib and/or motif.
The hat shown is a size M and the rib is a bit longer than the pattern says.
Finished measurements

Gauge: 10 cm / 4” = 20 sts and 28 rows in Stocking st on 3.75 mm / US

Any DK weight yarn suitable for stranded knitting. You can for example use the left-over yarns from the Maja Light sweaters.

- MC: shade #3025 (mountain blue), 1 skein
- CC1: shade #3042 (ginger), 1 skein
- CC2: shade #3001 (light moorit), 1 skein
And for CC3: Gilitrutt Tvíband (used double) from Hélène Magnússon, 100% new wool, pure Icelandic lambswool, plied lace weight, 2 ply, 25 g per skein = 112 m/ 122 yds: #2017 (Glacier turquoise), 1 skein

Needles: 3 and 3.75 mm / US 2.5 and 5 circular needles, 60 or 80 cm / 24 or 32” long. Magic loop is used for smaller diameters, but you can also use double-pointed needles.
