This gentle hiking and knitting tour takes us on an enchanting journey to the fjord of Skagafjörður and North Iceland. Dramatic basaltic columns, the vast grey ocean, fragile flowers on bright green moss, bluish lagoons and black sand, bubbling mud pots and noisy steam vents will inspire us as much as the knitting artifacts in the Textile Museum in Blönduós that we will have the chance to visit. We will knit traditional Skagafjörður mittens, typical from the area, with delicate patterns in the form of a flowerpot, and meet with many local crafters, spinners, dyers, tanners for an unforgettable insight into the Icelandic culture and knitting heritage. This is by far the easiest of our hiking and knitting tours and also the most comfortable. Accommodations in guesthouses, made-up beds. Contact: email@example.com
Bring your family with you! Your companion and/or children are most welcome, as long as they are able to walk the planned hikes without problems. Note that no baby sitting or childcare will be provided. If the children are not able to watch for themselves during the knitting workshops, another adult should accompany to take care of them.
